Achieving Another Milestone in Providing Value-Added Educational Program on Marketing War Games Conducted by Top Industry Cognitive Psychology and Psycholinguistics Expert, Sponsored by the Pharmaceutical Heritage Foundation

Southampton, PA

September 8, 2021

The Pharmaceutical Heritage Foundation sponsored educational program on September 2nd, 2021, which was dedicated to highly specialized and complex marketing program helping organizations manage uncertainty to achieve competitive advantage. The Marketing War Games, also referred to as Competitive Simulation had been utilized by the pharmaceutical industry for decades. Its primary objective was to develop competitive strategy that can withhold the worst-case competitive attack scenario. However, its greatest utility was to educate and instruct sales force on how to overcome any objections to use of their product, while being completely compliant with their product label. This type of program was typically conducted in close collaboration and supervision with the Legal and Regulatory departments, providing guidance on how best to address objections and competitive threats, while minimizing risks to the organization.

This session was conducted by Dr. Michael Tucker, psychologist and psycholinguist, who is well established and respected expert in conducting Marketing War Games, with over 20 years of experience, primarily within pharmaceutical industry sector. He helped many organizations to overcome risks, and achieve market leadership. Since 1999, Dr. Tucker dedicated his work to identify successful market entry and growth strategies for multi-billion-dollar brands across markets and organizations. His exceptional analytical and in-depth interviewing skills of key stakeholders translated into successful strategies and tactics, uncovering new market growth opportunities while managing risks. Dr. Tucker is known within the industry as one of the best strategic professionals with a demonstrated capability to uncover new insights and effectively influence teams to take actions. It has been our privilege to have Dr. Tucker participate in our first Advisory Forum on Launch Excellence with other pharmaceutical industry Global Commercial Leaders, and we look forward to continued collaboration in the future.

There is a great unmet need to provide expertise and leadership in bringing more innovative products to the market efficiently to address our increasing health related needs. There are many models with a basic roadmap how to fulfill the necessary legal, regulatory, and operational requirements to get medical treatments to the market. However, we know from experience, that commercial expertise is of critical importance to prepare the company and the market to support acceptance new solutions. Each launch requires expertise across different commercial areas to manage all of the cross-functional efforts, otherwise the product will not fulfill the unmet needs and its financial obligations. Presently, we have great urgency to bring more innovations to the market to overcome our current public health-related crisis and prevent any future events compromising our quality of life, longevity, and financial well-being.

The Pharmaceutical Heritage Foundation promotes pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and medical devices professionals dedicated to discoveries, development, and commercial excellence of medical products improving public health globally. Through education, advocacy, and support activities, the goal is to support the introduction of the latest research developments to address major health-related unmet needs, applying our industry's best practices developed and perfected over the decades by the top global experts. In complete compliance with universally accepted biomedical ethics, the Pharmaceutical Heritage Foundation's mission is to empower public and health care professionals with the best treatment options, helping them to live longer and better lives.

About Rajul Shah

Rajul Shah is an award-winning international visual artist whose work conceptualizes the strong connection between emotional health and physical well-being. Inspired by her travels, life abroad, and 20 years in the healthcare industry, Rajul’s art conceptualizes healing and resilience through positive energy.  The Japanese Art of Kintsugi and the Japanese concept of Ma are major influences in her work where the concepts of resilience and the positive flow of energy through space allow for a reflective and emotional interpretation of the subject matter.  The art of Kintsugi is a physical manifestation of such resilience. Traditionally applied to pottery in Japan, Rajul’s artwork is a 2D representation of this concept, initially symbolizing the recovery of the Earth after climate change, and now applied to global public health.
